Our golden duo, Boomer and Molly, have been thriving in their foster home while on their heartworm treatment. While they pulled on the heartstrings of so many with their story, they still have little to no adoption interest...we hope that can change soon. These beautiful, affectionate Golden Retrievers were brought into our partner shelter in Kentucky after their owner, sadly, passed away. The home they had known for seven years – their whole lives – was suddenly, irreplaceably gone. 7 Year Old Molly and Boomer are a bonded pair looking for a loving and patient home that will dedicate the time to continue their training and socialization , so they can be the best dogs they can be! Given that they came from a rural setting, a home outside the city with a yard would be the dream for these two! Molly and Boomer are extra loving and affectionate, they will act like your shadow in the home, until it's time to curl up for a nap. Their foster mom says they're the "SWEETEST DOGS OF ALL TIME". Both are eager to please and will give the best cuddle you can ask for. They are both excellent dogs who are acclimating very well in foster, despite their sudden change of circumstances. Boomer is 90lbs and Molly is 50lbs. They love other dogs, playtime, giving kisses and relaxing. There's nothing like the love of a Golden! Now, how about doubled? Interested in adoption? Foste Update "Boomer and Molly are very sweet and loving dogs. They are utterly inseparable. Boomer is a bold explorer while Molly is a determined and affectionate companion. They both are very food-motivated, and respond well to training. For entertainment, they love a peanut butter filled Kong or a bully stick. We do have to be careful not to leave any food or bags on countertops when leaving the house, as they will forage (especially Boomer). Their leash etiquette is decent although they would do well to learn "leave it", and Boomer tends to pull a bit. They like to hover around the table at meal times, but they don't linger too long before going to lay down. Other than that, they like to nap, get belly scratchies and occasionally romp with each other over a chew toy or tennis ball."
