My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet little adorable Griffin!

Griffin is a 6-year-old terrier mix. He was found living at a storage facility for months and we were called to see if we could help.

Absolutely we could!

When Griffin entered rescue, he was VERY skittish and timid when he arrived at his fosters house. We soon found out it seems like he was abused, and he was abused by a female. He did not like his foster mom at first but after some time he has warmed up to his foster mom. He liked his foster dad right away. He loves a quiet house and does not like a lot of ruckus. He loves his crate. That is his “safe” space for him. He is in a foster home with many other dogs, but he prefers to be by himself. He likes all the attention and loves it when it is quiet.

Once he learned he was safe he started wondering around his foster family’s home and he soon found they have a toy bin. He LOVES toys. He will play for hours. He will bring you the toy and wants you to throw it.

Griffin will choose one person to become very attached to. He will follow his person all around and loves to be petted and loved on. When he needs to go potty, he needs to be walked on the leash. He loves his leash. Once he sees you get it, he gets excited because he knows he is going to be going outside. Griffin was a stray for a long time, so he has been very accustomed to potty wherever whenever. We are currently still working on his potty training, but he is doing really well!

Griffin did go to dog training and did absolutely wonderful! We felt he needed a little extra help since he had a trust issue from being abused. You can see the video from day 1 to day 4. What a difference!! He will need someone who will continue to show him that everything is ok, and it is ok to trust.

The perfect home for him would be a home with no kids and someone who will train and work with him, so he continues to build the trust.
