You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.
NOTE- BRANTLEY IS LISTED AS A COURTESY FOR ANOTHER RESCUE ORGANIZATION. PLEASE SEE CONTACT INFO BELOW.
Hey y'all, my name's Brantley. I'm just a good ol'boy looking for my forever home. I came to Augusta Dog Adoptions from a rural shelter with not enough adopters! Thank goodness they were able to get me out of there because my kill date had been set!My foster mom says I'm an easy keeper and that I do better than my half brothers. I don't know what she means. They seem like alright boys to me, so that must mean that I'm above average! I do like to play with them, especially the spunky beagle. I like all company, big dogs, little dogs, but I do not like cats.I've been told I'm very good mannered, I give little kisses on the hand or arm, I keep my crate clean and when given full house privileges I've been a very good guest. I'd love to have some friends to play with and a comfy spot to nap. My foster mom thinks I'd be gentle around young kids but I'm still a little scared of loud noises. I can't say for sure but I think I'm about 5-7 years old and weight about 55 pounds. I do know that I've been through a lot, and with your help, I'll find a family who will make the rest of my life the best of my life!Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
