Bootsie is a beautiful black cat that was returned to P.A.W.S. after being in a home for over 3 years, due to her family moving. She struggled to adapt back to the shelter life and will have been with us for 1 year in May. Bootsie does hyper groom (or over groom) herself and after being in a foster home for almost 3 months it continued and we are looking into the issue further. She is currently on a prescription diet to see if it is due to an allergy. Bootsie definitely enjoyed her time in a foster home though. She was a completely different cat! At the shelter she was aloof, quiet, and low key. In a home her true self came out, she was talkative, energetic, playful, social, and very affectionate! She would love a home to call her own where she can bird watch, get her zoomies out, and then curl up in a sunshine spot or on a human to take a nap. Bootsie may prefer to be your only pet. She doesn't like to share her humans with other animals. Won't anyone consider giving her that safe feeling of being in a warm home, feeling secure, and loved again? Favorite things: Her toys: springs, anything with catnip, especially her avocado toast! YouTube Cat TV, food, and a chest to nap on!
