My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

One of 5 dogs rescued from a hoarding situation where more went to other rescues. Lyle and his 4 siblings lived in squalor in Visalia until the owner died and they were pulled out by animal control officers in Hazmat suits! It was pretty gross! The dogs had dreadfully long nails, live fleas feasting on the pups and skin conditions to show it. None was fixed and all were frightened but all love affection and though they initially bark and back away they truly want to be held and loved and all cant wait for new clean lives being fussed over and treated like champions. Barks at strangers and it is a piercing bark bu the can be trained out of that. And he is a tiny sweet little man who does like affection

More about this rescue

Meade Canine is an established 501c3 on both
coasts placing younger dogs in New England and seniors in
California. We take in dogs on euthanasia lists or
who have no where to turn. New Hope members in both LA and
NYC we rescue many last chance dogs from city dog pounds and
animal control. We believe dogs dumped by humans deserve
finally to know true love from humans so we ask our adopters
to be committed to their pets for life with the caveat that
we will always take a pet back after a week or ten years
if an adopter no longer can keep the dog/cat adopted from
MCR. We strongly believe the way to help unwanted pets is
to spay and neuter at any age and we offer low cost spays
and neuters to people who can't find or afford
sterilization and raise funds to help be able to do this.
Donations, inquiries, and visitors are welcome 365 days a year.
