My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Snow! She is a deaf 2 year old 60lb Dogo mix. She is open to meeting other pets and older children (due to her size and strength), as long as they meet her adoption requirements. We are looking for someone with breed experience, and also someone with experience working with deaf dogs. Snow has been working with our staff and volunteers by using hand signals to refine her basic manners training. We suggest doing multiple meets with her before adoption, as well as participating in a training plan customized to her needs.

If you are interested in adopting, please visit The Women's Animal Center to fill out an application in person. We cannot accept any applications online or through email, and we cannot hold any specific animal for a potential adopter.

You DO NOT need an appointment to walk through our shelter, so please stop by any time during our adoptions hours.

You MUST follow the guidelines for our adoption process listed on our website (https://womensanimalcenter.org/our-animal-shelter/adoption-process-fees) to be able to meet and adopt one of our dogs.

As long as the animal you are interested in still has an active photo on our website, they are still at the shelter and available!
