My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Penny, a 6 year old Black Mouth Cur Mix, is on the hunt for a loving, committed home.  This girl's personality can fill the whole room.  Penny is high energy, athletic girl.  She loves walks on the beach, a good running partner and a fenced backyard she can romp in.  Penny is a people dog.  Hanging with her person gives her a lot of joy.  Penny needs a home where she gets a good amount of attention.  She is sweet and cuddly.  She is also crate trained and would do best as an only dog.  Fully vetted and UTD.

Additional adoption info

We don't have a facility, so we screen applicants thoroughly before we set up a meet and greet. We conduct a vet check, reference check and a home check. We typical set up the meet at the adoptive home so the home check can be completed at the same time. If both parties agree the pup is a good fit we complete the adoption agreement and accept the adoption fee.

More about this rescue

We are tackling the problem one animal at a time. Ayla’s Acres No-Kill Animal Rescue is a St. Augustine, Florida-based 501(c)(3) supporting adoption, spay and neuter, and responsible care of animals. Along with education, outreach, and adoption and fostering programs, Ayla’s Acres also maintains a 45-acre sanctuary where “unadoptable” animals may live out their lives with peace, love, and dignity.
