My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi I’m Brucie!

I’m a 2 year old terrier mix and I want to tell you just how sweet and wonderful I am! My human is my world! If you’re looking for a buddy to keep you company, I’m your girl! Everywhere you go, I'll follow you. My favorite thing is getting chin and ear rubs and laying next to you during the day.

I'm potty trained and crate trained, although I love my human so much that I prefer to sleep on my dog bed next to you, in my crate. My foster mom doesn’t force me to sleep in my crate, but I’m such a good girl, I choose too! If my foster mom leaves for a long period I do get crated, because I like to chew on plastic things.

I do okay with bigger dogs and like to play with them, but I sometimes get jealous when another dog wants to sit next to my foster mom, so I growl a little. My foster siblings are patient and don’t react, so a home with a patient dog who likes to play, or no dogs, would be great for me. Only bigger dogs though - when I get excited I like to pick on little dogs, so for their safety no little dogs for me.

Although I've told you just how amazing I am, I do want to tell you that I will need someone patient to get me through my adjustment; I'm very shy and don’t like new people. It took me 4 days to finally let my foster mom come near me, I just missed my first guardian so much that I was lost without them. Little kids also scare me, only because they run around and make lots of noises that spook me.

If you have a quiet home and a little bit of patience, I promise I will show you Just how much I can love you!
