My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Meet Pilot!  A lovable, fun, and charming kitten.  Pilot is chatty, playful, and loves to be picked up.  He stands on his hind legs and reaches up to give hugs.  He enjoys being carried around while making biscuits on his human’s shoulders.  He also enjoys looking out the windows with his humans while gossiping about the birds and squirrels.  Pilot loves his siblings and plays hard.  He needs the companionship of another cat or kitten in his future home.  Potential adopters should consider adopting him with his foster brother Nickel.  He also needs humans who are around more than not.  He will cry if he’s separated from his humans and/or other cats.  Pilot is talkative in a fun way as well, he can be heard saying “hello” as he walks around the house.  He can be shy during initial meetings, but don’t let that fool you, he is an absolute love bug.  His name is Pilot because of the markings on his face - they look like an headset a pilot would wear.  And he is a great buddy who loves human companionship and would make a great co-Pilot.  He was bottle fed and cared for with great love by his foster family.  He has never known and unkind word or action in his young life and deserves the same in his forever home.  Pilot is an absolute joy and would love to meet you!

At Laramie Animal Welfare Society, the first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website www.laramieanimals.org. Once submitted, your application will be reviewed by our adoption team which typically takes 7+ days.  Keep in mind, the animal you’re interested in when applying may be adopted and no longer available by the time your application is approved. We do not place animals on hold.   Pending approval, your application is valid for 6 months. Also pending approval, you will receive contact information, so that you may inquire about the personalities of specific animals. Adoptions for individual animals will occur by private adoption appointment. Because we are 100% foster-based, appointments are scheduled pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules.  Should you want to proceed with the adoption, a brief appointment will occur at our adoption center to sign adoption paperwork, receive medical records, and pay the adoption fee.

**Dog/Puppy applications -  Because of the large volume of dog/puppy applications we are receiving these applications may take longer to process, please be patient. We do not do first come first serve but we place the dog/puppy in the best suited home. If you have questions about the Dog/Puppy process please email lawsdogprogram@gmail.com**
