Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Diego! This guy is lots of fun and has energy to spare—he’d probably make a great running or agility dog! He might be the perfect partner for an adopter with an active lifestyle.
Here at the Cruelty Recovery Center, Diego is being treated for heartworm, so he will need to wait a couple months before he can start running any marathons or jumping hoops while he undergoes treatment. But that won’t stop him from finding his paw-fect home! We are planning to set him up as a foster-to-adopt, meaning we would cover all his expenses for those two months of heartworm treatment. During that time, you would just need to give him love and a place where he can stay calm and have limited exercise.
To learn more about the foster-to-adopt process for a heartworm-positive dog, please email crc.foster@aspca.org or fill out our adoption application to schedule a meet-and-greet with Diego!
