My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zoe is eligible for the Seniors for Seniors program and Foster To Adopt.

This gorgeous girl has the softest fur and big, bright green eyes! She is full of personality, funny, curious and a lap cat to boot. She loves people and wants to be the life of the party greeting guests and expecting pets.

She loves to sit on a lap, catching a snooze while the humans watch TV or surf the 'net. She wants to be near her humans, but if they are busy, she loves to curl up on a smooth comfy blanket in the sun.
She's a great cat for those who work from home, as she will leave you alone for most of the day, but like any good co-worker, she'll pop her head in your office and remind you that it's time to go get lunch, or play a quick game of chase.
Every night, without fail, Zoe goes around the house, gathering up her stuffed animals, brings them to the bedroom and meows loudly to tell everyone it is bedtime. She sleeps through the night and doesn't bother her humans until breakfast time.

Zoe is still very playful and likes to interact with her human. She has a strong hunting instinct and so needs an active companion to help her get those zoomies out. She loves to watch the birds and gets all animated. She will keep anyone company, she is a great supervisor and her antics and personality are sure to put a smile on your face.

The ideal home would have no other pets and have someone that is not gone for long periods of time. Someone that has time to interact and be her best friend.

Zoe is Foster-to-Adopt. Why would such a great cat be Foster to Adopt? Zoe likes her schedule and for things to be very routine, moving homes is a massive adjustment for her and she can be overly dramatic when it gets interrupted. She will adjust in a few days time but she will likely throw a temper tantrum for the first several days letting you know and it can be a bit much so we want people to know they have plenty of time for her to adjust and settle in.

More about this rescue

Purr Partners Feline Rescue is a 501(c)(3), no-kill, foster-based, all-volunteer organization dedicated to saving the lives of cats and kittens in Central North Carolina — incorporated in 2009 by two friends, four cats, and no budget. These two women realized the need for a "cat only" rescue that worked with rural shelters — where cats routinely lose their lives. Purr Partners was founded to save the lives of those most in jeopardy with little hope of survival. High-kill rural shelters became the focus for Purr Partners, and that is still true today. From those humble beginnings, the rescue has grown to over a hundred active volunteers and a budget of approximately $175,000. At any given time there are between 100 and 150 cats and kittens in foster care. We have saved the lives of over 3500 cats and are still growing!
