My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

***LUCY (blind)***NO ADOPTION FEE!!!!****

****NO ADOPTION FEE!!!!**** Due to the fact that she is blind and little older (7 years old) than the dogs we usually adopt out, we ARE NOT CHARGING AN ADOPTION FEE ON HER! The only thing we are charging for, is for her transportation to you, which is only $150. We just want her to go to a safe and loving home. She deserves that!

Meet Lucy, she is our beautiful, spunky little Diva. She prances around very proudly to show she’s got it going on and she knows it. She was adopted out a few years ago and her owners brought her back to us because they are moving into another home and the landlord doesn’t allow pets. Sadly she is blind now because she has cataracts in both eyes, but it doesn’t slow her down a whole lot. She manages to navigate pretty well once she figures out the layout of her home and yard. She is still active and does well going for walks on a leash. She loves to explore the yard and doesn’t mind rolling around in the grass or leaves or maybe getting her feet wet like a little tom boy. She has always lived in an adult home, with no kids or other dogs…she has lived with cats though and did fine with them. That being said, we’re looking for a special adopter that can open their heart to her and offer her a home with those requirements. She is a very sweet girl and she deserves a home where she will be the center of attention, enjoying all the petting, belly rubs and snuggles that they can hand out. Lucy is 7 years old (dob 2/15/16) and weighs 15 pounds. She has been completely vetted, including spay, 4DX heartworm test, microchip, fecal test, all vaccinations, worming and she is on heartworm and flea prevention.

Lucy is being fostered in Tennessee. Once adopted she will be transported to her pickup location by a professional dog transport company. Our rescue ships to the Northeast area every week and her fee includes transportation. Due to state laws, we cannot accept applications from residents of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Maine since we can’t adopt directly to residents of those states.
