Teddy just wants to be your teddy bear! He is a 2.5 month old Australian Shepherd Mix and weighs 13.7 pounds.

This adorable pup is the best houseguest, playmate, and is such a lover who has a big desire to please. Teddy is good with kids, loves playing with them and other dogs, and loves to be outside. He is okay with cats - he initially chases them, but then he's fine. True to his breed mix, he is very playful and energetic, and will need mental and physical stimulation to keep him happy. He is still very much a puppy, so will need redirection on appropriate play and continued encouragement with potty training, but so far he's doing great! He is a smart dog who will make quick progress with the right training.

While out on walks, you'll have pay attention to him because he likes to walk through, under and on your feet, just to make sure he's as close as possible to you! He may be a little leery of men, but has made progress so far with accepting them! He sleeps in his kennel overnight, with minimal fussing until he's ready to be up for the day for a potty break and breakfast. So if you're a morning person Teddy would love to be your best buddy!

Teddy's minimum adoption fee is $400 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.

He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
