My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Please note that we can not guarantee the age, expected weight or breed of any animal. What we provide is our best estimates based on our experience and the information provided by the our medical partners. If breed and eventual size are of great importance we suggest looking into a breed specific rescue or adopting a full grown animal.

Unless otherwise noted, ALL animals are fostered and available for adoption on Long Island, NY.

Meet Delilah, the charming 5-year-old mix breed with an estimated weight of 50lbs. Delilah is on a quest to find her forever family, and she brings with her a heart full of sweetness and love. This girl has a special talent for melting hearts with her affectionate nature. One of Delilah's most endearing qualities is her friendliness towards other dogs. She's a social butterfly when it comes to her furry companions. While she may be unsure about cats, she's open to discovering new friendships. However, humans are her true love—Delilah adores every person she meets and cherishes moments of love and cuddles. Delilah's adventurous spirit comes to life during car rides, where her excitement is contagious. She's always up for a playful game of fetch, and her joyful demeanor is bound to bring smiles to everyone around her. To keep this lively girl safe, she needs a yard with a 6-foot fence. Delilah's enthusiasm can sometimes lead her to jump a smaller 4-foot fence when she spots something intriguing. But don't worry, she's got excellent leash manners and is also crate trained, making her a well-behaved and delightful companion. With her loving nature, boundless energy, and good manners, Delilah is eagerly waiting to be welcomed into a loving home where she can share her affection and bring joy to her new family's lives. If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion, Delilah might be the perfect match for you! Location: St. Francis Farm Animal Sanctuary in Carlisle, SC or she can be brought to NY for a local adoption

More about this rescue

We provide adoption services in NY, NJ, CT, RI, NH, and ME.

Last Chance Animal Rescue is a Charitable, not -for profit organization, created to save the lives of animals. We rescue animals that are located in "KILL" facilities and underwrite the costs of relocating them to "NO KILL" facilities in hopes of finding them a forever family. We work with local veterinarians for spay-neuter/ medical services until permanent placement is secured into a pre-screened loving home. We depend on donations to continue to save these helpless loving animals from being killed and hope that you will consider supporting our cause..... saving as many lives as we can.
