My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**SYDNEY HAS BEEN ADOPTED!!** Sydney is a wonderfully sweet 6-7 month-old, 45-pound female Shepherd mix puppy searching for her forever home. Given her current age and weight, we estimate she'll mature into a 55-65 pound adult. Pal's Place rescued Sydney, her two littermates, Shiloh and Sierra, and their mother, Sheba, a black German Shepherd, from an animal control facility in rural Kentucky. An overcrowded, chaotic, stressful pound is no place for any dog, especially a mother and puppies. We heard their story and brought these sweethearts up to a wonderful foster home in Chicago to await meeting their forever families.
Sydney's mother appears to be a purebred German Shepherd (or very high-content mix), but their father's breed is unknown. While we cannot say her exact breed mix, we think she may have some Aussie, Cattledog, Kelpie, or similar herding breeds in her family tree. Syd's two littermates and her mother have all found their families; now it's her turn! Sydney is a social, easy-going, and mild-mannered puppy, and we think she'll fit in easily with most households. She loves making new friends, both human, and canine alike. She loves to run and play with her canine foster siblings, play fetch, walk around the neighborhood, and cuddle up close with her favorite humans. She is crate trained and does very well with her housebreaking when taken out on a regular schedule. Remember that puppies this age and size need potty breaks every 4 to 5 hours, with lots of playtime and mental stimulation throughout the day. Please consider if you truly have time for a puppy before applying. Sydney is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and started on flea and heartworm prevention. She is ready and anxious to meet her forever family!
Sydney's adoption fee to the rescue is $475, and she can be seen by appointment after an adoption application has been submitted and approved by the rescue. Unfortunately, we cannot hold our dogs for any reason. Please do not apply unless you are ready to meet and hopefully welcome a new companion into your home within three days of applying. To complete an adoption application online, visit http://palsplacerescue.org/adopt/ or email Palsplace1@hotmail.com for an application or more information.

• Pal's Place adoption fees start at $475 for puppies and $375 for dogs aged twelve months or older. This fee helps to cover medical expenses needed to prepare dogs for adoption (vaccines, microchips, spay/neuter surgeries, etc.), feeding, transportation, and general care for the dogs. Pal's Place is 100% reliant on donations to care for our rescued dogs.
