Due to factors beyond our control, transport costs for our Puppy Mill survivors are much higher than what we have been accustomed to - costs for health certificates and medical + transport for each dog with no allowances for shared crates. With these factors taken into account, as well as the care needs for all of the animals in our adoption program, we need to request a donation above our normal request. Depending which dog you are applying for, we are looking for adopters to support our program with a donation in the range of $450- $850 from each adopter. $250 of that donation will be used toward the cost of transport. We appreciate the understanding of our potential adopters. Please keep this in mind prior to applying.

Home Recommendation: Souffle is very young and is looking for an home who is home more often than not to spend time playing and training him. We'd prefer he go into a home with another adult dog to show him the ropes.
Personality: Shy at first greeting but comes out of his shell and shows you how sweet he is! He loves to cuddle and be held. He takes advantage of his size to make himself fit perfectly in your lap!

Dogs: Yes! He loves to play with other dogs and would love to have a doggy sibling in his forever home

Training: Souffle is very young and is working on puppy manners and basic obedience. He will need continued training to help him become the best dog he can be! He is practicing her leash training and getting better each day!
Why did she come to WISE? Puppy mills overbreed to the point where they produce more dogs than they can sell. Dogs like Souffle were rejected for reasons ranging from birth defects, being born with the wrong color fur or eyes, or just simply because no one wanted to purchase them. When the dogs are not sold, the puppy mills destroy them, and it is legal to do so. WISE has recently partnered with a group to save these unwanted dogs - healthy, unhealthy, and/or with birth defects - who are destined to be killed for no reason.
