My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Comet is a 2 year old lab/boxer mix. She weighs about 50 lbs and is spayed and up to date on her vaccines. Comet came to us from horrendous circumstances with her sister Cupid.

You may remember our earlier post looking for a foster home for these two girls. Well it turns out that the girls are better off being fostered/adopted out separately. They are not as bonded as we once thought. They love each other but they need to flourish and become amazing dogs individually.
Comet is very sweet and looking for someone to understand that she needs to learn things outside of being caged and on top of her sister. She is partially house trained but will need a refresher course in her new foster home. She needs someone to show her that it’s ok to be a dog, get spoiled, and live the life she was born to live.

Comet is very playful and has a great time chasing the ball and making those squeaky toys squeak! Give her toys and she’ll entertain herself (supervised playtime of course).
We are looking for a patient foster home, without other pets, that will take baby steps to help Comet learn how to live in her human’s world. Comet is ready to relax and come into her own. Foster families get first right to adopt their fosters so keep that in mind
Our coverage area is within 1 hour of Warrington, Bucks County, PA, but since we need to keep them together we may consider a home a little further than our coverage area.
If you have questions about Comet, you can contact us at info@jaxslabrescue.org but to be considered a foster or possible match for her, our first step is the foster application which you can find here:
