What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Pumpernickel (AKA Pumper) is about 4 years old and very healthy. He has gorgeous bright green eyes, beautiful medium-length black hair that doesn't ever seem to require maintenance, and a big fluffy tail that he proudly swings around when he’s excited (like at breakfast time).
We met in a shelter when he was 5 moths old and left with me to join my family which included three other cats. However, I believe Pumpernickel would appreciate a household with less pets. He loves attention when the other cats are not around. It seems as if he doesn't want to compete for affection. Additionally, he prefers alone time away from the other cats.
I’d love to keep my cat family together. However, due to a family member’s disability increasing in severity, my household has gone through significant and unexpected changes over the past few months. I now am unable to care for my pets like I used to, must adjust to the changes, and find them more suitable homes.
