Opie is a 9-year-old tricolor beagle boy who was surrendered to HBHR through no fault of his own. Life situations do change, and the dog doesn’t always fit in. One thing he was not missing in his former life was his kibble. Opie is on a weight loss plan to slim him down from his 37 lbs. Opie is a happy go lucky guy who loves to explore the backyard where all the great smells are. He also loves his people and a good cuddle. He can jump up on the furniture and beds but is good about getting down when you tell him to. He is potty trained with a dog door and sleeps quietly in his dog bed all night. Opie would be fine as an only dog if his family isn’t gone for excessive amounts of time. He is ready to give a lot of love and devotion to a lucky family.
