My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rooster is located in TEXAS and is available for in-state adoption or adoption and transport to another state.

This handsome boy was found as a stray running out in the country. He is approximately 7 months old and weighs 45 pounds. He will probably weigh in the 60-pound range when fully grown. We are not sure of his breed mixture but think he may have some lab and Doberman in him. Rooster has a great personality and disposition. He loves all of the other rescue dogs, big and small. He loves people and will lie at your feet whenever he can. He loves water and the garden fountain is his favorite spot to hang out and keep cool.

Rooster is a very sweet and goofy puppy. He is pretty much house-trained and runs to go outside with his buddies. He will need some leash training and would probably do better with a harness. We have no idea of how he is with cats. Rooster loves to run and play with his dog friends and toys. He may not be suitable for a home with small children because he may knock them over when running and playing. Rooster needs a fully fenced-in and secure yard. He will be a great dog for hiking or going to the dog park. He is an active boy and will run around the yard with a toy in his mouth playing tag with his buddies. He likes to be the leader and have everyone chase him. Rooster would do well either as an only dog or with other dogs.

Rooster is healthy. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, (DAPP, Bordatella, rabies, canine influenza), and microchipped. He is receiving monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. Roosters has a $200 in-state adoption fee. His out-of-state adoption fee is $450 and includes the cost of ground transport, and he can be transported almost anywhere. within the continental United States. Rooster is fostered by our friends at Shaggy Dog Rescue and cannot be transported until after he is adopted. Go meet their pets

Locals may meet a dog by appointment only. It is not possible for out-of-state adopters to meet the dog prior to adoption. However, most dogs have a video, and video calls are possible.
