My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Yep, if you look into my eyes you can see I'm a guy who just likes to have fun. You'll never be bored with me around. Look at my belly, I'm just gonna lay like this so you know I trust you. I'm just a big, goofy lovebug who wants to play!

My name is Saru, which is Japanese for monkey. I’m a playful silly thing, ready to play chase, wrestle, or even do little somersaults on your bed when you are trying to sleep. After all, night time is RUMPUS TIME, even if you don’t think so. Life is short, and I have so much playing to do. Yeah, I like to play, but I have the sweet affectionate nature typical of bottle babies, and I love to snuggle up with humans, and my brothers and sisters, when I’m ready to nap. I was born to a feral mom in the house of my first foster. But at some point, my kitty mom got tired of dealing with all of us active kittens and we needed to go to my current foster family. I was bottle fed starting at three weeks, and I’ve got that sweet affectionate bottle baby temperament but I still have a unique personality all my own.

I’m one of nine kittens with the run of the house, and I’m used to a busy household with cats and kittens of all ages so I’m likely to adjust quickly to a house with other cats. I’ve never been around a dog, but I’d probably be fine as long as I’m not chased or barked at. I’m used to wrestling and playing with my brothers and sisters, so I probably won’t be happy being adopted into a house with no one to play with. I’m going to do my best in a house with other cats, lots of attention, and lots of focused “play time” with my humans so I can work out all my energy. But, once I’m tired I’m going to want to snuggle down right next to you for long naps and sleep, so expect me to want plenty of cuddle time too. I love my playmates so much, and I’m going to do better in a home with someone to engage me in vigorous play, so priority will be given to anyone who can welcome me with one of my siblings.
