Meet Dana🖤
💙 Update Account: @_adogs_everyday
1. Health Condition
* Spayed.
* Microchipped, and completely recovered from heartworm.
2. Rescue Story
* Dana was brought to the Gimje City Shelter in 2021 while pregnant. Not long after, she gave birth to 8 puppies at the shelter. Adogs rescued Dana and all her babies. While all her puppies have since found forever families, Dana is still waiting for hers.
3. Basic Information
* With People: Is shy at first, but if you approach her gently, she warms up quickly. Once she opens up, she turns into an affectionate sweetheart who seeks out pets and attention. Due to past trauma, she tends to be wary of adult men.
* With Dogs: Generally gets along with other dogs at our center, but can get jealous. If another dog comes over while she’s receiving affection, she might growl. Can also get frustrated if her play signals to other dogs aren’t reciprocated, so she’s currently in training for better social cues.
* Separation Anxiety: When trapped alone, she’s whined but recently she stays alone very well at the dog house. However, due to her long stay at our center, she may need basic separation training in a home setting.
* Potty Training: Currently uses outdoor potty only at our center.
* Hygiene: Is calm during baths and accepts brushing without resistance.
* Walks: Walks very well on a leash, keeping pace smoothly.
* Car Sickness: Rides very well without signs of motion sickness.
* Nipping : May growl out of jealousy or frustration when ignored by other dogs, so careful supervision and continued training are needed.
* Dislikes : Was afraid of being left alone in a room, but has gotten much better. Tends to be a bit afraid and wary of grown men.

All our dogs fly from South Korea to the US when their adoptions are finalized so the adopters cannot go through "meet and greet."
But once applicants pass zoom interview, we will connect adopter to foster team for the most up to date news as well as photos and videos. The adopter can post any questions and can make video call as well.
Please hold our dog's hands so that they can forget about the painful past and live happily.

More about this rescue
ADOGS(Adopt Dogs), a non-profit organization, is an abandoned dog foster/adoption organization launched by an individual volunteer group that has rescued, fostered, adopted dogs since 2018.
We are conducting rescue, foster, adopt from South Korea rural shelter. We also rescue dogs irregularly from illegal dog farms or any other places that need help.
We rescue large and small dogs of all breeds, including dogs with special needs.
Although we can't save all abandoned dogs in the world, we are doing our best to the dogs in front of us so that their lives can be changed like any other pets.
In expanding our search for adoption leads, we’ve broadened our mission: To bring at-risk dogs across the Pacific to loving stateside families.
Due to limited demand for large-breed dogs in Korea, arranging for local adoption has proven almost impossible. Instead, we seek to bring these persecuted dogs to the United States where dogs have a higher chance for adoption and survival.
