My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Codi Pepperoni is the full-package gentleman, and will be the perfect addition to any home. He is an 8 year old Shih Tzu, with a sweet, calm demeanor.  He weighs about 20 pounds.

He wants nothing more than to be snuggled up with his human on the couch. And if you have to get up, he’ll happily follow you around the house and wait patiently for you wherever you go. He potties outside but is still working on signaling to let you know he needs to go out. He also walks really well on a leash, although as of right now he prefers short walks.

His little tongue is always hanging out of his mouth, but he also uses it to give the sweetest kisses. He has been an absolute angel with kids, other dogs, and cats. He’s learned to like toys, but just picks them up and carries them around. The only time he has ever barked was when he was in his crate - otherwise he is silent even when the doorbell rings, or the other dogs are barking at people walking by.

He struggles to go up and down the stairs, so a home with no stairs or few stairs would be best for him - unless his future owner is willing to help him up and down.

Codi will fill any home with love and snuggles!  If you'd like to adopt, apply today!   His minimum adoption fee is $400 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.

He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
