My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I'm Carter and part of the Mother's Day Litter.  I am named after Maybelle Carter, the mother of country music!  That's because of my country charm!  I am a sweet little gentleman with some wiry scruff that I like to think gives me character.  I am potty trained.  I sleep all night in my crate.  I am a pretty darn good puppy and haven't eaten any furniture!  I love lounging around and sleeping, but playing with my brother & chew toys are always fun.  My all time favorite activity though is probably cuddling.  I love to snuff my snoot around your face and head and climb your shoulder too.  I will fit in great with an empty nester, couple, or family, with or without other dogs.  Because I have some Dachshund in me, we will need to take care that I am not jumping too much on & off furniture or up & down stairs so that my back stays healthy for a long time.  Let's just go for some chill walks and play a little tug of war with a toy, shall we?  I am sure I could learn some tricks for treats too!

My adoption fee is $350 and will include all my shots, microchip and neuter. Fill out an app at: https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=SQYPSGVQ

I only do not require a fenced yard if I will be leash walked at least 3 times per day (more times as a puppy.)  I was told I am a Dachshund/Bichon Frise/Poodle mix.  My foster parents definitely see the Dachund in body size, shape and coloring, and the Bichon or Poodle in the wiry hair.  What size I will exactly end up as is not certain, but my current growth path lends my foster parents to believe I will be in the 25-35# range once full grown.  (Avg Adult weights: Bichon 12-18#, Dachshund 16-32#, Poodle 45-70#)
