Lucia is the light of our life, we are absolutely devastated we have to get rid of her. On May 25th, she bit a 10yr old neighbor girl who was approaching our property line in the groin. She received two stitches. We are not allowed to have fences where we live, but we have an electric fence. She happened to have her collar off when the girl
was walking past our property and was able to pass the invisible fence and nipped her. Lucia is the best and smartest dog I have ever owned. She is very protective of us and is our daughters therapy dog. We did the mandated rabies quarantine and she is staked when outside and never off leash. I would love to find her a farm as she is an obedient and loyal herder type dog. We want to keep her now that we know the girl is ok and we are keeping her fully restrained, but her parents are demanding we get rid of her. She is a great dog! I can’t even believe we are in this situation, we are just trying to keep the peace with the neighbors.
