My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Micah. The vet says that I am over 10 years old and I weigh 11 pounds. I was surrendered to the rescue because my owner became ill and was no longer able to care for me. I lived with her for about 3 years after she adopted me from a county animal shelter. She shaved me down to the skin before surrendering me, but normally I have plenty of fur. Even though I am a senior, I still have plenty of energy and I really like playing with other dogs. My previous owner describes me is having a medium energy level. I don't have any joint problems and seem to hear and see just fine. I have no trouble going up and down steps or jumping on to the chair with my new foster to snuggle. I am spayed, up today on my rabies and dhpp vaccines, and I am heartworm negative. I am well behaved in the house. I'm very attentive to people and will follow my foster around the house. I'm good with children but will not be adopted into a home with small children because I am so small. I am also good with other dogs of all sizes and ages, and I enjoy playing with them. I'm not sure about cats because the rescue does not have any to cat test me. My previous owner did not have any cats. I don't think that I am big enough to hurt one though. I will bark to alert my owner if someone comes to the door. If that person is a stranger, it only takes me a few minutes to warm up to them. I ride well in the car and I walk on a leash. I am a great little companion dog eagerly awaiting my news forever home!

I have a second video on the rescue website.
