My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Soldier has been waiting over 200 days for a home. He is estimated to be 7 yrs old. He's charismatic, loving, and wants your attention & affection. He enjoys curling up on a soft blanket and sleeping. He loves being pet and LOVES getting treats (he's a foodie and has really packed on the pounds) and needs someone who will look beyond his rough exterior to love the personality within.

He was found outside, seriously injured, with deep wounds on his face, neck, and legs. He'd been fighting for his life out there. When I took him to get fixed, the vet told me he was the friendliest cat she'd ever met and to get him into a home where he could give his love.

Soldier is listed as 'special needs' because he is FIV positive. FIV isn't contagious to humans, but it is contagious to other cats through bites. FIV compromises the immune system. Soldier doesn't like being with other cats anyway, so it's best for him to stay inside where he won't be exposed to parasites, disease, or other animals.
