Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Blu is the sweetest boy who just wants a family to call his own. He is a 2 year old medium energy boy and around 30 pounds. He loves to play fetch a lot! It’s his favorite thing! He will also curl up and watch tv with you or just relax around the house. He will come over to you and put his butt up to you so you can scratch it, sit nicely for treats, and come when called. He is a really smart boy!
He is neutered and on flea/tick/heart worm prevention. He is house trained and does fine free in the house if temptations are put up - like trash. :) He does not do well in a crate as it causes him anxiety.
Unfortunately, he came from a domestic violence situation so he can be apprehensive with new situations. He lived the first two years of his life without even a collar or leash on, never going to the vet, riding in a car or experiencing any of the outside world. He has flourished so beautifully since coming into his current foster home. He will need a home that is peaceful and dedicated to helping him experience more of every day life. The more he encounters new experiences the better he gets each time. He just needs someone to do this with him!
Ideally the person or family who adopts Blu would be a dog familiar family. He gets along well with other dogs but at times can get possessive of toys, which can easily be diffused. He does prefer female humans over males if he had to choose.
