To help us make a great fit for you, and any of our dogs as well, please include information about yourself(Home, family, yard/fence, work hours, other pets...) and/or use our application at sparrowdogs.com. Those emails will get the quickest response, we do the best we can, but if we have to follow up with an email asking you about yourself and waiting for a response, well, we have already moved on to the next email that has provided the details. We are doing the best we can to find the right home for each dog or cat, just need your help too! :)
Mazy Grace is a 4 year old little lady, we guess that she is a Shi-Poo, half Shih Tzu, half Poodle. She is only about 9 pounds, so tiny, and has a longer coat with soft little curls. She has the most beautiful, loving eyes that will just melt your heart!
Mazy was brought to a shelter, we are assuming it was her family. When she came to the shelter she was understandably very scared and did not take the initial handling very well. which is very common and totally understandable. She was able to be handled and get her vetting done and such. She is a sweet girl, but a bit undersocialized.
So, we were blessed with the A-Mazy-Grace! The first few days she was cautious, but also wanted to be affectionate, poor girl was just so unsure! She needed a bath, a nail trim and a bit of grooming and handled it like a little champ(only one good Elvis lip curl!!)
She has been with us for a few weeks now and has had such a turn around. She feels safe, she feels loved and she gives it back 100%. I was in the yard the other day, she saw me thru the gardens and took off running like a shot. I wondered what it was she saw, well, bless her heart, it was ME!! She ran up to me like I was her long lost friend! I picked her up and she snuggled right up to me and I carried her back to the house. Mazy is a snuggle girl, she feels safe and wants that special person/people in her life to help her get over any past insecurities.
Mazy will do well with a loving family that understand that each rescue dog, or any dog for that matter, has a period of transition to be acclimated to your home. She will be fine with older kids, little ones might scare her. She is not great on a leash(or tie out) so a fenced yard will be great. She is such an awesome little girl just waiting to burst out of her shell and take on the world with her forever family! Her adoption fee is $400. Please email Kristine at joysparrows@gmail.com.
