If you are looking for a loyal companion who greets you with gentle kisses and loves to snuggle, this is your girl!
Penny is a lovable lap dog who enjoys lounging in a freshly dug hole.
We adopted Penny from a shelter in the fall of 2020 and quickly learned that she does not cohabitate well with cats or other small animals. We put her through obedience training and have divided the house. She tries so hard but that prey drive kicks in. While this works, it’s not the best for all parties involved, including her.
Penny can also be mouthy. She responds well and stops in her tracks when a throat noise is made. Kids don’t always remember and we can’t supervise 100% of the time. She has hit kids with an open mouth while playing, which I do not believe were intentional “bites”. She doesn’t always recognize that children can not play like dogs and vice versa. While young visitors are fine, Penny deserves a home without young children or the temptation of small pets.
