My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mama Dog is a 3 year old mixed breed. We are thinking Sheltie or maybe Chow Doxie? Who knows. She is a medium sized dog with adorable short legs. She is super sweet and eager to please. A little shy at first, but will warm up. She really wants a home to call her very own! She is currently housed with one of her grown pups, Bear (who is a lot bigger than she is) and looks like a Chow.
Mama Dog is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative and on prevention.
Safe Dogs By The River does not adopt dogs to outdoor only homes, nor do we endorse this practice. We believe a dog is a family member and should live indoors with they're humans. Indoor dogs make better watch dogs, are better able to alert to intruders and are capable of actually doing something heroic in the face of an emergency.
