My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Houla is about 4 years old and ready for her new forever family. She is a Catahoula Mix. She is really friendly, but will need a basic obedience class. She is a working dog. She needs to have something to do or she will become bored and find ways to entertain herself - usually not the things you would choose! With the proper guidance Houla is going to make an absolutely fabulous family companion.
Houla is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative and on prevention.
Safe Dogs By The River does not adopt dogs to outdoor only homes, nor do we endorse this practice. We believe a dog is a family member and should live indoors with they're humans. Indoor dogs make better watch dogs, are better able to alert to intruders and are capable of actually doing something heroic in the face of an emergency.
