Here's what the humans have to say about me:
So, we were trapping feral cats the other day and we happened to meet Kurt Russell. He was slated to be put down (at the request of the home owner where he was trapped). He had us from moment one when he rolled over on his back and purred at us when he was trapped. After we drove away from the vet/shelter, we decided we couldn't let this fabulous guy go. He is SO sweet. We had him neutered and he is recovering nicely here. He is so handsome! He has several scars from being a roaming Tom Cat. He is a little rough and tumble looking, but he has a heart of gold. His wounds have healed up and he is ready to join a new forever family. His ear has been 'notched' as part of a feral trap & release and his other ear has some scars - but we think it all gives him is wonderful character! He is a large cat with a commanding presence - he makes sure you notice just how stunning he is! Kurt Russell has been neutered, he uses his litter box and he has eaten whatever I have fed him - dry food, wet food and real food. He should have no trouble adjusting to a new routine. He is so affectionate, but not needy or clingy. He likes attention but does not demand it. A very nice balance in a cat. He has very good house manners. He is being housed in our office - as we are in foreclosure and packing everything up. We aren't even taking in animals at this point, but he was just so charming we made an exception! Safe Dogs By The River does not adopt cats to homes where they will be declawed. We do not condone or endorse this very painful practice of convenience. There are many alternatives to prevent unwanted scratching - Soft Paws, scratching posts, basic training are but a few. May 18, 2024, 12:20 am
