UPDATE: Founder has been adopted to a family that lives in the country and he has acres to run and play. Thanks for adopting.

Founder is the puppy of Sara, who was found in a ditch by a wonderful good samaritan. Mom looks like a hound mix. We have no idea what mix he is, most likely Heeler. He is super sweet & loves to be cuddled!
Founder is currently in a foster home and he is doing great. He is such a happy little guy. He would do great with a family on a farm or in the city - as long as he has something to do. He loves to please and learns really fast.
Safe Dogs By The River does not adopt dogs to outdoor only homes, nor do we endorse this practice. We believe a dog is a family member and should live indoors with they're humans. Indoor dogs make better watch dogs, are better able to alert to intruders and are capable of actually doing something heroic in the face of an emergency.
All companions from Safe Dogs By The River have an adoption fee. If we did not have these fees, we would not be able to help the next animal that comes along. Please help us to continue helping the animals we have in our care.
