Here's what the humans have to say about me:
UPDATE: Byron's new name is Fisher. He was adopted by a wonderful young couple. Fisher has been diagnosed with the worst hips ever seen in such a young dog. We are very saddened by this. However, his new family has vowed to stick by him and do whatever it takes to get him through it. What absolutely great people and a great dog. Thank you so much for adopting.
Byron was found wandering around a country road. He was starving but very friendly. He is about 9 months old. He has been neutered, is heartworm negative & on prevention, up to date on his vaccines. He is learning basic house manners. He has typical young Lab energy. Won't you find it in your heart and home to give Byron a second chance? He will reward your leap of faith with a lifetime of loyalty - he promises! He is SO sweet, he plays great with his toys and has a blast! He is a happy friendly guy that learns fast and is eager to please. Byron has turned out to be a wonderful dog. He adjusts his play style to different dogs, doesn't fuss the cats and is an all around good dog. He doesn't jump on people and he is not an escape artist. He doesn't fuss livestock either. Safe Dogs By The River does not adopt dogs to outdoor only homes, nor do we endorse this practice. We believe a dog is a family member and should live indoors with they're humans. Indoor dogs make better watch dogs, are better able to alert to intruders and are capable of actually doing something heroic in the face of an emergency. All companions from Safe Dogs By The River have an adoption fee. If we did not have these fees, we would not be able to help the next animal that comes along. Please help us to continue helping the animals we have in our care. May 18, 2024, 12:20 am
