Here's what the humans have to say about me:
FOSTER needed while awaiting adoption. Fostering is also a great way to see if a dog is the right one for you to permanently adopt.
Meet lovely senior lady Ophelia, about 10 years old. She is currently with a wonderful trainer who took time out of her schedule to go get her from the local city animal shelter, and is caring for "Phee" for a little while for us in Arizona.
Ophelia is ready for a home to call her own and looking for that special someone or family that will give her the wonderful life she deserves.
Ophelia is a very quiet, mellow girl who just wants nothing more than for you you to hold her head, pet her ears and love her unconditionally as she will love you the same. She will enjoy a leisurely stroll around your neighborhood and parks. Ophelia is a joy to stroll with as she walks beautifully on a leash.
Ophelia also enjoys water, she will swim a bit, but not a strong swimmer. She much prefers to hang out on the steps and blow bubbles in the water.
This sweet girl can be shy meeting new people but once she understands that someone is a friend and won't hurt her she becomes an outhoing buddy.
"Phee" has had some basic training. She will sit and shake hands with her paw, especially for a yummy treat. Loves a good chew bone. She is not destructive, and graces the beauty of any home with quiet calmness. A zen buddy!
She is dog friendly when introduced properly and slowly, otherwise she can be defensive at first. When on a leash she is reactivite seeing other dogs, giving a low growl however settles easily and quickly.
Good with small animals and okay with livestock.
"Phee" is ready for a home today. She has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.
