My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Doug is a stunning one-year-old male golden retriever, who was surrendered to us because his previous owner bought him as a puppy without consulting their spouse…who didn’t want a puppy. This poor sweet guy then spent most of his first year locked in one room except for potty breaks - no socialization with other dogs and no manners training. Doug is still as friendly as they come, and he loves and is excited by other dogs- he’s just not sure how to act. He is basically a 10-week-old golden puppy in a teenage body.
We have Doug in an awesome foster home with other dogs for socialization, and he is housebroken and crate trained. He just needs a home where he can learn manners and continue socialization, and ideally he would have a fenced yard as an outlet for his high energy. This is not a calm and placid golden. This is a zoomer.
We are going to get Doug brought up to date on vaccines and neutered so he is ready for a forever home that understands he is still 100% puppy, even though he is full grown.
