Colby’s adoption donation is $475 and he is being fostered in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. He has been neutered, microchipped, received his rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza and Bordetella vaccines, tested negative for heartworms and started on prevention, as well as flea prevention. Colby requires a home with a companion dog of similar size/energy and a secure, physically fenced yard.
Now introducing Colby! Colby is a puppy mill survivor who is very busy learning to be a happy, playful dog. He is currently living in a home with three other dogs and he is thriving. He is timid when you first approach but it is easy to earn his trust. Colby loves playing with toys and hopping around. He even smiles when he gets excited. When he tires out he'd love nothing more than to fall asleep in your lap. He does very well in the car. He was terrified of a leash at first but he no longer panics when the leash is put on. He does do very well when walking in a pack. Walking alone is a work in progress. He is a wonderfully spirited dog who will undoubtably bring joy in the home and a smile to your face. Colby loves his people and would greatly benefit from another dog in the home to help him with his cues. Colby needs a home/person who will be actively engaged in helping him learn how to be a dog.
