My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet William—Stunning shepherd/lab mix William comes from Duplin County Animal Services in North Carolina and he got out just in time! Thank heavens because he's such a great dog. He is well behaved, mannerly and rarely barks. At two years old and 60 pounds, he is fully vaccinated, dewormed and will be neutered as soon as the surgery can be scheduled.

William is good with other dogs and his sweet disposition smoothes the way for an easy transition to a loving home. He is very smart and eager to please, which makes him an excellent candidate for obedience school or training. William would appreciate a fenced in yard.

So if you're looking for a good friend to light up your life, then you may want to consider William. He will reward you many times over with love, loyalty and respect. Please email adoptsch@gmail.com and/or adoptionsecondchance@gmail.com for more information and application. You can also download an adoption application at secondchancehabitat.org.

More about this rescue

Second Chance Habitat:
We are a small group of volunteers dedicated to helping homeless, abandoned animals in harms' way find humane, life affirming alternatives to "euthanasia"; we save healthy, loving, adoptable dogs whose days are numbered in stressful, crowded high kill shelters in the surrounding area; we care for feral and unadoptable cats in our one of a kind, cage free, safe-haven sanctuary in Chesapeake VA.
