Maryjane’s owner died while on a trip to mexico and the owner of the home kicked Maryjane and all her owners belongings out on the street and this little girl was sleeping under all her owners stuff every night when a lady selling tamales on the street started feeding her. The woman reached out for help and we saw the post and were heartbroken and asked the person that posted her to grab her and we would come get her that weekend.

Mary jane was pretty scared and a little nippy when we first got her considering she didn’t understand at all what was going on. One day her owner was there and the next this baby was trying to fend for herself on the streets of South LA.

Maryjane has come out of her shell and turned into such a sweet affectionate girl who is starting to play with the other dogs in foster. She loves belly rubs and will drop and roll when she trusts you. She is the perfect lap dog but it will take a short time for her to trust her new family so someone who understands that she just needs that time to decompress and feel safe. Then she will be your best friend for life.
Maryjane is a 7 pound chihuahua mix who is estimated to be around 6 years old. She is spayed, up to date on shots and microchipped.
