Honey wandered into the yard of a retired couple who took her underwing. But they are finding she needs more exercise and attention than they can give. She's a silly, fun gal who is good with both cats and dogs.
Honey is a dog who does like a little peace of mind. Her current home has a lot of visitors coming/going and noisy neighbors, which tend to make Honey anxious. She would love to find a calmer setting with adopter(s) who like walking/running/hiking or can offer a nice fenced yard for Honey to play in. Most of all, she'd love to crawl into your lap and be lavished with attention.

To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself. Please expect an adoption fee of $300; some of our urgent or long-term dogs have discounted fees.
