Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Shenandoah, or ‘Shen’ for short, is a special tuxedo bicolored young girl with white whiskers, pink toe beans, and mild CH (Cerebellar Hypoplasia). Her motto is definitively “I can do it!,” as she has exhibited to the delight of everyone at Kitkat Playroom. Shen has not let her wobbles slow her down one bit - she is fiercely independent, and will even look annoyed if someone so much as hints that she can’t accomplish tasks by herself. Eating kibble or wet food? “I can do it!” Drinking water? “I can do it!” Using the litter box? “I can do it!” Climbing a cat tree? “I CAN DO IT!”, and she absolutely DOES. Rising up on her tippy-toesies, she can dart herself across the room with the careful gait of a water-strider, getting to where she wants to be with surprising speed. Shen prefers her humans sitting down at her level, and likes to casually come along to lean against your side or rest against your legs. Her favorite toys are things that she can bat around and chase while hopping from side to side with enthusiasm. Despite her ‘serious’ little attitude, she is hilariously adorable burrowing under her bed and blankets, and the genuinely joyous purrs when she gets attention are positively heartwarming. When she gets excited, her tail poofs up and out like the cutest and floofiest little antenna, and her wobbles increase, but she doesn’t let it get her down. If you want to be inspired every day, consider inviting little Shenandoah into your home!
Shenandoah uses the litter box on her own perfectly. She also eats and drinks by herself. She doesn’t require any special accommodations other than supervising her on stairs until she proves she can do it herself. If you’ve never had a cat with CH, Shen is an ideal start!
