Hello everyone! My name is Milton and I come to you today in search of my forever home. Let me share a bit about myself. I am a stunningly handsome American Husky/Pitbull Terrier born approximately Feb. 2023 …. a true gentleman never reveals his actual age 😂. I get along well with other dogs, although typically prefer the more submissive males and females. Cats are a hard no for me as I like to chase them a bit to much. I’ve had some good training through Mattox Dog Training academy and was in the running to be a service dog! Although I didn’t make the cut, I came very close. I need a home with a secure fence as I like jumping them from time to time. However I’m making great strides in understanding I shouldn’t. I enjoy a good bath and tolerate nail trims like a champ! I’m housebroken and do just fine hanging out in a kennel when needed - although like all dogs, I don’t enjoy kenneling for long periods of time. I would love a home with another playful canine companion. I would live my best life with humans who are active, keep me engaged and continue training me as I am a smart boy! I want to be part of a family or a person’s most loyal companion. Children are great - but I’d do best in a home with kids who are over 5 who understand I may accidentally knock them over. We require an adoption application to be filled out which includes personal references. An in-Home check by a Mikey's Chance volunteer is also performed prior to adoption. Our dogs come to the adopter "ready-to-go" with current Vet health checks, all shots and vaccinations current and the animal spayed or neutered, as well as micro-chipped.
Our adoption process can take 2-4 weeks to process as we are run completely by volunteers, all of whom work full time jobs.

"Mikey's Chance" is a dog rescue organization organized under Washington State articles of Incorporation as a Non-profit Charity. We focus mainly on saving dogs that are at risk or on “Death Row” in shelters in our area, and placing them to great families. We work with individual adopters, private rescuers, and rescue organizations that share our values. All our dogs are up to date on shots, sterilized, and microchipped prior to adoption, and they are all carefully evaluated to ensure the best possible match with adopters.
