My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sonny is a 6-month old Mini Golden Retriever who weighs 36.5 pounds.  He is a friendly boy who loves his people - adults, kids everyone he meets!  Sonny also loves his canine foster siblings and has a blast playing with them!

His favorite activities include playing outside, playing with stuffies, and tennis balls!  If someone is willing the throw the ball, he'll play fetch - while he hasn't quite learned to drop it, he is good at consistently bringing it back!

Sonny does great in his crate - he will bark for a few minutes, but he settles down.  He is also making great progress with house-training.

His foster mama shared "If you sit down on the couch, you can count on Sonny jumping right up to soak up your love and attention, as much of it as he can get!  He'll gladly curl up for a nap too!  He is an easy-going and loving boy with the cutest fluffy ears!"

We believe Sonny will do great in a family environment, but he will also be content with just about any environment as long as he has someone willing to give him lots of love, affection, and plenty of games of fetch!

If you'd like to adopt Sonny, apply today! His minimum adoption fee is $400 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.

He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
