My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**CALVIN HAS BEEN ADOPTED!** Calvin is searching for a forever family; could it be yours? Cal was rescued from an overburdened animal control facility in rural Kentucky and is now in a loving and nurturing foster home in Chicago, patiently waiting to meet you! He is a 60-pound (a bit underweight, ideal weight of 70#) 3-5-year-old male mix-breed with a gorgeously soft, plush, brindle coat, often accentuated with a giant grin and fluffy wagging tail carried in a high loop over his back. Without a DNA test, we cannot say with certainty what his breed mix is, but judging by his appearance and characteristics, we think there is some shepherd , Pyrenees, and hound in his family tree. Calvin is an easy-going, affable, lovable guy. He's gentle, affectionate, and well-mannered, and we think he'll fit in easily to most homes. Cal is also a great mix of energies and is happy to go for long walks and play fetch but is just as content cuddling on the couch or sitting at his human's feet. He gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home, is crate trained, and is housebroken. There isn't much not to like about this sweetheart; come and meet him today!
Calvin is in a foster home on Chicago's north side and can be visited by appointment only after an adoption application has been completed and approved. His adoption fee to the rescue is $375. This fee helps to cover his neuter, initial vaccines, microchip, and heartworm testing. Unfortunately, we cannot place holds on our dogs for any reason. Please do not submit an adoption application unless you are ready to meet and welcome a dog into your home within three days of applying. For more information or to receive an application, email palsplace1@hotmail.com or visit palsplacerescue.org. Adoption applications and correspondence from the rescue may end up in your spam or junk folder. If you are waiting for our reply, please check those folders regularly.
