Ernie is a playful young male with a stunning brindle coat! Ernie loves to run and and explore!! He has been good in the play yard next to other dogs and really wants to please. When he arrived with us he was a bit underweight and he can become very concerned about protecting his food and bowl. We are working with him and he is responsive to the training but we suspect he had much food insecurity in his previous life. He is truly a darling boy in all other aspects and will need consistent training and care to get through his fears.

We have an adoption agreement and ask that you keep us informed of the dog's whereabouts if you move or relocate and also that you maintain updated contact information with our organization.

We ask for a tax deductible donation of between $250 - $500 to help us pay vet bills, rescue fees, boarding & transporting expenses.

More about this rescue

We specialize in rescuing Akitas , both purebred and mixes and from time to time other large breed dogs from high kill shelters, provide medical assistance if needed, assess them and find homes. We are truly the last resort for many dog that would otherwise be put to sleep. This is a act of kindness for those in most need & out of love for the dogs.

We are an all volunteer organization that survives on donations.
