I was born in January 2022 and have had a bit of a ruff life. I was brought to the shelter when I was a year old because my owners could not handle me. I have a lot of energy -- I'm a young girl after all! I bite and tug on my leash - much worse with a nylon leash -- I am OK with a metal leash.
I am your typical teenager. I have lots of energy and would love to have someone play with me. I will play fetch with a ball, my stuffies, a stick; you throw it and I will bring it back to you. It would be great to go on walks or runs. I do need you to help me learn manners on the leash, I get the concept, I just want to pull the way I want to go. I think I would love to do agility, flyball, or advance obedience work.
My favorite things are belly rubs. I don't mind being brushed. I am really smart. I know sit, lay down, give paw. My foster mom told me I need a routine. She gets me up at the same time every day and I have breakfast, then I go outside for a while. Foster mom has a big cage that I can go into when I am feeling a little out of sorts, like if I get a bit stressed. It has my toys and treats in it and I calm down quickly. I love to sleep in my cage at night. It's my space. But, I would be really happy to sleep on the bed with you, because I am a cuddle bug.
I think I would do best in a house without young kids or small animals -- I don't know for sure, but I think I might go after them. Oh, and I bark - it must be the Keeshond in me! No one is getting near this place without me alerting you.
