My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Buzz is quite the character. He's loving, loyal, and smart. He catches on quickly. He is dog friendly and loves to be with his people. Not a fan of cats at all. He enjoys going for car rides and being out and about. He does like his zoomies so a fenced in yard would be perfect for that. Could use a little more leash work but is learning they aren't so bad because it lets him get out and sight see. He loves to sniff everything and just take it all in. He makes the best snuggle buddy and the perfect couch potato. He could really use another canine friend to play with. His energy may be too much for smaller kids so older kids may be more suitable for every one.

Our process is not too detailed but we want to make sure the furbaby will be taken care of. We are not a first come, first served rescue, however, we also will not require the adopter to jump through tons of hoops to adopt either.

Happy Tails Animal Sanctuary aims to be the forever home for animals we take in. However, due to the volume of homeless pets, we do operate on a rescue basis as well. We pull from kill shelters, have the pet altered and evaluated and try to place the pet in a forever home. If the sanctuary is the best fit for the pet, then it will stay here. However, not all animals do well in a multianimal household.
