My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rockette is a grey tabby female. She came into the shelter at approx 7 weeks and was immediately buddied up with his foster brother Rudy.

On July 21, was brought to a foster home with Rudy, foster brother Yodi and a Rottweiler.
Rockette has great name recognition & has earned it. Full of energy and comes running when called for her favorite treat of canned food.

Rockette is very inquisitive and you will enjoy watching her explore. She loves to hunt and pounce on her toys. She is a cuddler and a great comforting sister if she hears his brother Rudy meow. Her favorite place to hide is in drawers of furniture with her brothers.
Rockette is very bold and has already claimed 100 lb Rottweilers bed!

She would do well in a family with older children and possibly large, calm dogs

The process is quite simple! Please stop by and see for yourself. All animals are spayed/neutered, dewormed, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to going home.

Tuesday - Saturday:10:00 am - 6:00 pm
Sunday: 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

More about this shelter

We are a non-profit open intake shelter that serves all of East Baton Rouge parish. We strive to improve the lives of abandoned, unwanted and abused animals in our parish. We house approximately 400 animals at any given time. We take in 20-30 new animals a day. We are always in need of fosters both short and long term, donations, and volunteers.
