My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, I'm Brad the Pitt! I'm young, sweet, playful, and oh-so-loyal. I've got a mind of my own, but I'm always eager to learn new tricks. I've got a heart as big as the world, just waiting to share all my love. I promise, I'll make your days brighter with my joyful antics and unconditional affection. I'm just looking for someone who will love me as much as I'll love them. Adopt me, and together, we'll create a lifetime of happy memories and endless fun. I can't wait to be your best friend!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

LAPAW Rescue spays or neuters every animal, provides all shots, and vet checks every animal. Anyone interested in adopting must fill out an adoption application and be screened by an adoption coordinator. Home visits are required prior to adoptions. The home visit is to assure the safety of the animal and that the dog is a good match for the family.

More about this rescue

Lake Area Partnerships for Animal Welfare (LAPAW) Rescue & TNR specializes in the rescue and placement of abused, unwanted, and abandoned companion animals. LAPAW does not discriminate on the basis of health, age, breed, demeanor, background or otherwise. LAPAW strives to educate the community, ensure public awareness, and gain local political partners to mitigate the number of homeless and uncared for animals not only in SWLA but throughout Louisiana. All animals within the care of LAPAW are examined, vaccinated, altered (spayed or neutered), and treated (if need be) under the advisement of professional veterinary expertise prior to foster or adoption which entails careful and thorough screening. Feral cats who are not socialized and therefore not within the household pet category are altered prior to their return to safe outdoor environments.
